Muncie brought 9, Anderson brough 8, and Shenandoah had 12…golfers. That’s a lot of young golfers on 9 holes at one time. To top it off, it was the windiest night of the year. Aside from looking for one lost ball, pace of play was pretty good. With that being said, the Raiders lowered their team score and improved on a couple of skills (with plenty to still work on). Rome wasn’t built in a day. Muncie Central has a very Senior heavy team, who all seem to be able to crush their drivers (low score 36). Daniel Chapman (Senior) kept pace and shot a 40, with 1 birdie and 17 putts. Jordan Myers (freshman) shot a 44 and had the quote of the day, “we worked on that in practice yesterday”. Peyton Starks (Junior) had a 46, but only 14 putts (our goal is 15 or below). Tommy Deley (Junior) shot a 47, and nearly chipped in for birdie on #9 from the back side of the green with 40 people watching (and talking). We lowered our overall score this week by 17 strokes…let’s see what we can do with our first 18 holes on Saturday!
