Shenandoah jumped out to a 22-4 lead after 1 quarter and never looked back in defeating the Rockets tonight at home 76-20. The win raises the Raiders record to 2-0 on the young season and 1-0 in the MEC.
Kat Perry led all scorers with 20 points in 3 quarters of action. Fellow junior Erikka Hill was next in points for the Raiders with 13 while freshman guard Kayla Muterspaugh chipped in with 11 off the bench. Three Raiders combined for 18 points as Rachel Soden, Jenna Stewart, and Hannah Zody each tossed in 6 points. All 12 of the Lady Raiders that dressed tonight scored including Zoe Morris with 4 and Stormie Fitch, Madi Jenkins, Rylee Johnson, and Cori Allen all with a bucket.
The Raiders have a pair of road games next week; Friday at Blue River and Saturday night at Lincoln.
