Shenandoah traveled to Wes-Del on Wednesday and secured a 3-1 win over the Warriors. With the win, the Raiders raised their conference record to 2-0 on the young season. it was also their 4th straight win overall.
In set one, the Raiders led start to finish to claim a 25-19 win. The set featured key kills by Audrey Duncan, Jenna Stewart, and a tip from Erikka Hill down the stretch to pull away from from Wes-Del late. Kayla Muterspaugh and Cynthia Swenk made the sets and Hannah Zody provided the service points.
Set two was all Warriors and the match was on! Each team was able to spark runs that accounted for four or five points at a time but in the end it was strong serving from Bridget Lohrey and Swenk that provided the winning margin.
Set four was tight all the way as well but this time it was Stewart who showed up to provide the spark. The senior had several keys kills late that gave the Raiders the final margin of victory.
The Raiders play host to Lincoln on Thursday and it will be senior night.
