Senior Kaden McCollough tossed 6 stellar, shutout innings to help propel Shenandoah to a 6-0 win over the visiting Knights. McCollough allowed 2 hits, walked one and struck out 4 to earn his first win on the season. The Raiders are now 2-3 on the season.

The Raiders had all the runs they needed when Blake Surface doubled home Cole Hughes in the bottom of the first. Surface’s double was the only extra base hit in the game. The Raiders also got singles from Tanner Goff, Connor White and Jobe Robinson. Hughes, Goff, and White also each had an RBI.

McCollough got defensive help from shortstop Rafe Hartley, Tanner Goff, and White during the contest. Hartley turned a ground ball smash into an out, Goff took away a base hit with a nice running catch from his 2nd base slot, and White turned a sharply hit line drive into an inning ending unassisted double play. Sophomore Dylan McDaniel closed out the 7th inning, striking out all 3 of the Knights he faced.
