Shenandoah got a career best 37 from junior guard Kathryn Perry tonight and held off a furious Viking rally tonight late to defeat the Vikings at their place 56-51.Leading by 14 heading into the 4th quarter, the Vikings cut into the Raider lead, eventually cutting the lead to 3 points late. The Raiders got a huge 3 in the fourth from Stormie Fitch and a driving layup from Perry (who also iced the game with a 5 of 6 effort from the free throw line in the 4th).
Perry’s 37 came via 6 twos, 5 threes and 10 of 12 from the line. Erikka Hill was next for SHS with 13 points before fouling out in the 4th. Rachel Soden added a three along with Fitch to round out the scoring.
With the win, the Raiders improve to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in the MEC. They return to action tomorrow at Lincoln.
