In the first set the Raiders jumped out to a 16-9 lead. Once again, it was a strong service game from Bridget Lohrey, Audrey Duncan, and Jenna Stewart combined with the kills of Erikka Hill. The Raiders took the first set 25-14.
In the second set, the Raiders once again got off to a great start. This time, the Tigers roared backfrom a4 point deficit to take a 16-13 lead before the Raiders could turn the tide. A Hill kill made 16-14. But fromthere it was all Tigers as they finished out the set to win 25-19.
The third set was back and forth early with the Tigers eventually building a 14-10 lead. This time, the Raiders mounted a comeback, forcing the Tigers to take a timeout trailing 17-15. The Raiders used a timeout with a 19-18 lead. A Stewart block gave SHS a 20-19 lead. Hill’s kills put the Raiders up 22-20. An ace from freshman Elise Boyd put the up 3. A Hill tip provided the final margin of 25-21.Boyd’s insertion into the Raider line-up produced 4 of the last 5 Raider points.
Bridget Lohrey got the Raiders rolling in the fourth as she served 5 straight to get the Raiders out 5-0. But Hagerstown answered a run of 5 of their own. The teams alternated small leads through 13 all until Lohrey served the Raiders into 15-13 lead. The Tigers three point run was stopped by a Duncan kill and we were even at 16, s, 17s, and 18s before the Raiders took a 2 point lead 20-18 on a Stewart kill. A Stewart stuff put the Raiders ahead 21-19. Two kills from Hill led to a 24-20 Raider lead. A final kill from Hill ended the night .
The Raiders host Union on Monday of next week.
