The Lady Raiders got their 7th straight win to open the season with a 54-14 win over county rival Knightstown. The game was decided early as SHS started the game with a 16-4 first quarter and cruised throughout.

This night belonged to junior guard Kat Perry. Needing only 2 points to reach 1000 for her career, Perry got them on the game’s first possession as she was fouled on a take to the basket and calmly sank both free throws. She went on to score 28 more to lead all scorers with 30 points. Perry was joined in double digits by classmate Erikka Hill with 12. Sophomore Holly Shepherd was next with 5, Stormie Fitch had 3 and Jenna Stewart and Rylee Johnson both had 2 for the Raiders.

The Raiders travel to Indianapolis Ritter on Saturday. The JV game will begin at noon.
