The Raider bats pounded out 11 hits tonight in a 17-6 win over the Blackhawks at Cowan in a game shortened to 5 innings by the 10 run rule. The Raiders had home runs in each of the first 3 innings to build a 10-0 before Cowan rallied for 5 in the third. SHS added 7 more over the next 2 innings to put the game away early.
Gavin Patrick led the offense tonight with a 4-4 effort that include a double, a home run and 5 RBI. Jake Webster had 2 hits, one of which was a 2 RBI double. Ty Alexander had a 3 run homer in the first and Blake Surface added a 2 run dinger in the third.
Jackson Campbell got the win in relief of Hadden Myers. Campbell went 2.2 innings giving up a single run while striking out 5. The win improves the varsity record to 4-2 and 2-0 in MEC play.
The Raiders return to the field tomorrow at Hagerstown.
