The JV football team raised their record to 2-0 on the season with a nice win vs Heritage Christian on Monday at home. The Eagles scored first, on their first drive of the game, afterwhich the Raider D shut them out for the remainder of the game.

The Raiders answered the Eagles first quarter td with one of their own. This came in the form of a Noah Bowen 5 yard run and a Gabe Lowder 2 point conversion. At the end of one, the score was knotted at 8.

The Raiders got 2 deciding tds in the second quarter. One came from a Carson Brookbank 25 yard run. Brookbank dropped back to pass, stepped up in the pocket, then raced the 25 yards to paydirt. The second td came on a short pass from Brookbank to freshman Bo Surface. Surface took the short toss in the flats, then cutback across the field and ended up scoring from 45 yards out.

The young Raiders travel to Centerville next Monday.
