The Shenandoah Raiders won their own invitational for the very first time on Saturday by sweeping their 4 opponents in straight sets. The Raiders were pooled with Whiteland and Sheridan in the first round and defeated both 2-0 to move on to the championship round. In the championship round the Raiders faced off with defending champion Lapel and got past the Bulldogs 2-0 before finishing the day with another 2-0 win over Seton Catholic. The Raiders improved their record with the wins to 5-1 on the young season.
This week, the Raiders will take on Lincoln Tuesday night at Lincoln, will return home Wednesday to begin the Mid Eastern Conference season against Randolph Southern, travel to Frankton for a match-up with the Eagles on Thursday, and then compete in the Wapahani Invitational on Saturday.
