Multiple Teams · Centerville and Lapel Up Next for Lady Raiders Basketball


The Shenandoah Lady Raiders basketball team is back in action on Tuesday, January 10 with a trip to Centerville High School to challenge the Bulldogs. On Thursday, Shenandoah returns to Van Jameson Gymnasium with a match-up with the Lapel Bulldogs.

The Lady Raiders competed in the Henry County Tournament on January 6-7, finishing runner-up to host school the Tri Titans. Shenandoah defeated Knightstown 40-25 in the opening round and then fell to Tri in the title game by a score of 43-28. Shenandoah has a season record of 4-13.

Centerville is 4-11 this year. Their most recent outing took place in the Wayne County Tournament on January 7 when they were defeated by Cambridge-City Lincoln 66-45.

Shenandoah leads the series with Centerville by a margin on 9-5. The Lady Raiders won the most recent game 53-35 on January 13, 2015.

Tuesday’s game between Shenandoah and Centerville will take place at Centerville High School with the junior varsity game at 6 p.m. and the varsity action scheduled for 7:30.

The Lady Raiders return home to challenge the Lapel Bulldogs on Thursday, January 12.

Lapel has a season mark of 13-3. They have earned victories in seven of their last eight games including a 56-38 defeat of Liberty Christian in the Madison County Tournament.

In the last 18 meetings between Shenandoah and Lapel the series is tied at 9-9. The latest contest went to Lapel by a margin of 71-38 on January 14, 2016.

On Thursday, Shenandoah and Lapel will play at Shenandoah High School with the junior varsity game at 6 p.m. and the varsity action scheduled for 7:30.
