Multiple Teams · Shenandoah Hosts Boys/Girls Basketball Doubleheader on Friday Against Tri


The Shenandoah Raiders boys and girls basketball teams will be featured in a doubleheader at Van Jameson Gymnasium against the Tri Titans on Friday, December 9.

Shenandoah’s boys basketball team enters with a season mark of 4-0 and ranked 7th in the class 2A poll. Last week the Raiders traveled to New Palestine and won 66-50 over the Dragons and returned home to defeat Alexandria 52-37.

The Tri Titans boys basketball squad has a season record of 2-1. In their most recent game, they defeated Blue River 63-53. Friday’s match-up with the Raiders will be the first road game this year for Tri.

In the most recent game between the two schools, Shenandoah defeated Tri 79-53 on December 11, 2015. In the previous 25 meetings, Shenandoah leads the series by a margin of 20-5. The Raiders boys basketball team has earned 19 consecutive victories over the Titans.

Shenandoah’s girls basketball team has a record of 2-9. The Lady Raiders fell to the Monroe Central Golden Bears 54-36 on December 6.  The Lady Titans are 5-3 this season. They topped Cowan 46-35 on December 3 and defeated Randolph Southern 45-42 on December 7.

In the previous 18 meetings, the Lady Raiders lead the series 14-4. Shenandoah has earned victories in six the previous seven games. In the latest result, the Raiders edged the Titans 52-49 on January, 9, 2016.

On Friday at Shenandoah High School, the girls varsity game starts at 6 p.m. with boys varsity game scheduled for 7:30.
