Multiple Teams · White Out for Boys Basketball Season Opener on Wednesday


The Shenandoah Raiders Boys Basketball team opens the 2016-17 season with hosting the Daleville Broncos on Wednesday, November 23 at Von Jameson Gymnasium. The “Raider Rowdies”, Shenandoah’s passionate student body section, is inviting all Raiders Fans to dress in “White” to create a “White Out” for the season opener at Shenandoah High School. The Raiders begin the season with a ranking of 8th in the 2A IHSAA Basketball Rankings.

In the initial season with Dave McCollough as head coach, Shenandoah finished with an impressive 21-3 record last year. The season ended after falling to eventual 2A State Runner-up Indianapolis Howe in the Sectional 42 finale. Daleville had a record of 6-17 during the 2015-16 campaign. They dropped a 56-40 contest to Cowan in Sectional 55.

In the last game between the schools, Shenandoah defeated Daleville 74-53 on November, 25, 2015. In the previous 23 meetings, Shenandoah leads the series 17-6. The Raiders have won eight of the previous nine games against the Broncos.

The Junior Varsity game is scheduled to tip at 6 p.m. on Wednesday with Varsity action scheduled for 7:30.
