Game Recap

The 8th ranked Shenandoah Raider football team opened their season with a 32-20 win at Hagerstown on Friday night. Senior QB Brennen Dowden ran for 1 touchdown and passed for 2 more to get the Raiders off on the right foot this season. Fellow senior Dalton Hatcher got into the end zone twice, once on a short run and once on a beautifully executed 2nd quarter screen pass from Dowden. Austin Zimmer finished up the TDs for the Raiders on a 23 yard catch just before halftime. The Raiders converted on all their 2 point conversion plays as well. Josh Myers and Nathan Brummett had great nights for the defense and Joe Huff was solid on both sides of the ball for SHS. The Raiders travel to Delta on Friday for a 7:30 kickoff with the Eagles.
